As a kid, I found construction to be fascinating. Growing up in Jamaica, I learned the groundwork for construction by playing on machinery and dreaming of building something meaningful. My goal has always been to uplift Jamaica by providing jobs and boosting the economy through construction.
Donaldson & Company Construction was founded in 2022 to bring skilled workers together who share a common love for building. We believe that construction can change lives—by creating affordable homes, providing valuable skillsets, and fostering continuous growth in our field. Together, we are building a better future, one project at a time.
Meet KIRK
The driving force behind Donaldson & Company Construction. With a degree in Qualitative Economics and a minor in Business Management from East Carolina University, Kirk combines sharp analytical skills with a solid business foundation to lead his company to success.
Kirk's journey in the construction industry started as a Foreman, where he mastered operating heavy machinery, ensuring quality control, and maintaining safety standards. He quickly moved up to Superintendent and Consultant roles, where he excelled in managing schedules, coordinating inspections, and ensuring productivity and safety.
Kirk's project portfolio is impressive, featuring multi-million dollar developments from Senior Living to Affordable Housing, and twin high-rise complexes. His innovative approach to construction, using skills in BIM 360, Bluebeam, and lean construction methods, sets Donalson & Company Construction apart.
With certifications like OSHA 30 and a Crane Operation License (CCO), Kirk prioritizes the highest standards of safety and efficiency. His expertise in hold-down systems, CLP systems, AAC panels, firewall construction, and UL design further enhances his ability to deliver exceptional results.
